TAMPA FILM FESTIVALS
The film festival events of Tampa Bay Film and the resource for Tampa film festivals

TAMPA FILM FESTIVALS

Tampa Film Festivals will cover other Tampa film festivals, too, just don't expect them to be featured on our front page. This Tampa Film Festivals site will serve as a resource for Tampa film festivals, as well as a directory to all Tampa film festivals. Those Tampa film festivals, film events, and indie film premiers will be covered in detail on Tampa Bay Film, with full reviews on Tampa Film Review beginning in 2010.

The Tampa Film Festivals web site, a Tampa Bay Film site, is also a resource for all Tampa film festivals.
All known Tampa film festivals, ours included, are listed here. If we missed any Tampa film festival, and it is not listed here, please notify us.
Links, when enabled, go to comprehensive film festival sections dedicated for each film festival, referencing film festival reviews on Tampa Film Review, and film festival coverage on Tampa Bay Film.
In our opinion, there are way too many Tampa film festivals, but note that some of these film festivals have already ran their course, and are not longer around. Also, we expect a shakeout of film festivals in the next few years, with only a few remaining after the dust settles.

Tampa Bay Film Online Film Festival
The most effective Tampa film festival, with more of an audience and more indie films playing than all of the Tampa film festivals combined. That’s because it’s online, free of charge, and it’s available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, from wherever you happen to be. At this moment, a lot of people are watching films on our online film festival.

Are You Up For The Challenge
An online film festival which debuted in early 2007, and tied into The Tampa Film Review monthly film festival. It never became operational, and didn’t last long, especially when it was going up against the Tampa Bay Film Online Film Festival.

Tampa Film Showcase Monthly Film Festival and Professional Networking Event Series
An advanced monthly film festival and networking event with lots of secret technologies. This film festival series, by Tampa Bay Film and Eventi Stage, has not debuted yet, and has been in development since 2007. It should set a new standard for film festivals when it debuts in 2011.

Tampa Film Network and Film Showcase
A monthly spin-off of The Tampa Film Review which is more of an indie film networking meeting than a film festival. It needs to show more films. So far, it hasn’t attracted the crowds that The Tampa Film Review had.

Reverence Film Festival
An annual horror and exploitation film festival which will debut in late 2010, the Reverence Film Festival, by Tampa Bay Film, is an entirely new type of film festival (described as a new “species” of film festival). The Reverence Film Festival ties into other Tampa Bay Film events, such as the Tampa Film Showcase.
