TAMPA
FILM FESTIVALS

TAMPA
BAY FILM FILM FESTIVALS
Details on
film festivals which have yet to debut are pending, and may change at
any time, and without warning.
The following
Tampa film festivals are the main focus of the Tampa Film Festivals web
site. They are produced by Tampa Bay Film and Eventi Events. As more of
these film festivals become operational, the Tampa Film Festivals web
site will serve as the main web site for all of the film festival properties,
with individual film festival web sites for each film festival existing
within the TampaFilmFestivals.Com domain.
Tampa Bay
Film Online Film Festival
Launched in January of 2007 with Tampa Bay Film, the Tampa
Bay Film Online Film Festival is the top marketing platform for indie
films, with an audience greater than all of the Tampa film festival events
combined. The Tampa Bay Film Online Film Festival is always open, with
a wide selection of indie films available for viewing wherever you happen
to be. The Tampa Bay Film Online Film Festival has its own stand-alone
web site and its own domain name, but it will be interconnected with Tampa
Film Festivals like it currently is with Tampa Bay Film.
Tampa Bay
Film Review Underground Film Festival
You are not invited.
An underground, private film festival series, the Tampa
Bay Film Review underground film festival will be a gathering of entertainment
professionals where they view indie films and review them. These small
private viewing and review parties are invitation only, and not open to
the public.
The Tampa Bay Film Review underground film festival series is the premier
Tampa Bay Film underground film festival, and was founded in protest by
event planner C. A. Passinault over the decline of small Tampa film festivals.
The official site for the Tampa Bay Film Review and its marketing support
would be here on Tampa Film Festivals, just like other underground film
festivals produced by Tampa Bay Film and Eventi Events.
Halloween
Drive-In Underground Film Festival
Described as a film festival in a car, the 2011 Halloween
Drive-In underground film festival was founded in protest over the organizers
of the original Halloween Horror Picture Show giving up. Underground film
festival organizer C. A. Passinault, a group of models, and a surprise
guest plan on loading up in a car with a portable DVD player, snacks,
and a stack of horror film DVD’s. They then plan on having their
own private Halloween film festival while parked at a Tampa beach.
The 2011 Halloween Drive-In underground film festival will be covered
and reviewed on Tampa Bay Film, with an official site here on Tampa Film
Festivals. There is a possibility that this underground Tampa film festival
could turn into a annual series, as some ideas for the 2012 Halloween
Drive-In are being considered. The second Halloween Drive-In, if it is
approved, would expand the concept, and it would be more than a film festival
in a car, approaching the size and the scope of a small film festival
event. The official web site will be at TampaFilmFestivals.com/HalloweenDriveIn.html.
It is scheduled to debut in 2011!
Tampa
Film Showcase monthly film festival and professional networking event
series
The Tampa Film Showcase has been on the radar of Tampa
indie filmmakers since late 2007. With a debut now scheduled for January
2011 2012 (and a development time of just over three
four years, if that date checks out. Actually, it won't, because
as of December 10, 2010, this schedule has been delayed. Debut TBA; we
will leave the original content up because it is a good read, and the
timing of our affiliated events will still be relevant), the Tampa Film
Showcase will be well worth the wait. The launch of the Tampa Film Showcase
is dependent upon two factors: Film festival organizer C. A. Passinault
beginning production of his indie films, and the debut of the Reverence
Film Festival (see below. The Reverence Film Festival would serve to lead-in
to the debut of the Tampa Film Showcase a few months later). If the films,
or the Reverence Film Festival, are delayed, then the Tampa Films Showcase
could be pushed to January 2012 (it was). A January 2012, debut, of course,
would displace another related film festival, the Frontier Film Festival,
pushing its debut from January 2012 to January 2013 (this happened, too,
as predicted). It's a bit confusing, but all of these film festival properties
are tied into each other in one way or another. It is safe to say that
they will all eventually debut and, once in operation, will stick to a
regular schedule. The Tampa Film Showcase would have a film festival every
month, the Reverence Film Festival would have a horror film festival every
fall, the Frontier Film Festival (which feeds from a year-long run / season
of 12 Tampa Film Showcase film festival events), would happen every January,
and other assorted small Tampa film festivals by Tampa Bay Film and Eventi
Events / Stage would happen at random times (and we are not counting the
many underground film festivals, either, most of which are private events
which are held in secret, and the online film festivals). It is safe to
say that Tampa Bay Film would produce at least fifteen film festival events
a year (12 Tampa Film Showcase events, 1 Reverence Film Festival event,
1 Frontier Film Festival event, and at least 1 other Tampa film festival
event), which is more than all the other Tampa film festivals put together.
With this swarm of film festivals and the saturation of the Tampa film
festival market by Tampa Bay Film, this is why we have the Tampa Film
Festivals site, and why all of the Tampa Bay Film film festivals, regardless
of if they have their own stand-alone site or have their official site
here, will be marketed through Tampa Film Festivals and supported by Tampa
Film Festivals.
The Tampa Film
Showcase has its own stand-alone web site, and will be marketed through
its TampaFilmShowcase.Com domain name branding as well as through Tampa
Film Festivals. Possibly the most important Tampa film festival property
of Tampa Bay Film and Eventi Stage / Events (forgive us, as they are still
sorting out which company will be operating the film festivals), the Tampa
Film Showcase monthly film festival and professional networking event
series will serve as the backbone, and the workhorse, of all the Tampa
Bay Film film festival properties. It will be a promotional engine for
the other film festivals and a regular platform for communication. With
a dozen of these film festival events per year, compared to the one or
so from each of the others, the profile of the Tampa Film Showcase will
be the highest. Originally, it was thought that there would only be ten
Tampa Film Showcase events per year to make way for the single Reverence
Film Festival event in the fall, and the single Frontier Film Festival
event at the start of the year. Now, it has been decided to have a Tampa
Film Showcase event at least a week before the larger annual film festival
events to promote them, so there will be twelve.
Many of the
features of the Tampa Film Showcase are still secret, and may will not
be revealed until is debuts. With two years of work into the film festival
property already, it can be said that the film festival property will
be well-done, with every possible detail addressed, once it debuts. It
will be the most revolutionary, and the most effective, Tampa film festival
ever, monthly or annual. The Tampa Film Showcase will be more than capable
of competing with much larger annual Tampa film festivals, and should
be able to put them in their proper place rather nicely. Some of these
annual Tampa film festivals will not be able to cope with the scrappy
competition from the Tampa Film Showcase, and a few may go out of business
as a result.
Frontier
Film Festival
An annual Tampa film festival series, this ties into the
Tampa Film Showcase monthly film festival and professional networking
event series. Since the Tampa Film Showcase would have to have a one year
run under its belt before this film festival can debut, this large film
festival, which would be held once a year, would debut no earlier than
January 2014. The Frontier Film Festival would be a single venue event,
and would be for a single day, although the duration has not been decided,
yet, and it could become a single venue film festival lasting several
days to counter other annual Tampa film festivals and be comparable to
their playlists. The official web site for the Frontier Film Festival
would be its own standialone web site, and its marketing support would
be here on Tampa Film Festivals.
Reverence
Film Festival
Another annual film festival, this one focuses on horror
and exploitation films. Many of the details of the Reverence Horror Film
Festival are still a closely guarded secret, and rumor has it that it
somehow ties into a short film of the same name by C. A. Passinault. There
are other rumors that this will be an entirely new type of film festival
format, described as a new "species" of film festival altogether.
The Reverence Horror Film Festival will fill the void left by the Halloween
Horror Picture Show, and has some things in common with the Horror and
Hotties and the Ladies of the Night film festivals. The Reverence Horror
Film Festival, which still may have its name adjusted slightly, simply
being called the Reverence Film Festival, will be a one night, one venue
film festival held once per year, around Halloween (or in the fall). The
Reverence film Festival may be the first Tampa Bay Film and Eventi Stage
Tampa film festival to debut (TBA)! The official web site for the Reverence
Film Festival and its marketing support would be here on Tampa Film Festivals.
Tampa Film
Festival Project Series
The details of this Tampa film festival series by Eventi
Events is a tightly guarded secret. This is the fourth Tampa film festival
property of Tampa Bay Film and Eventi Events, and it is currently being
developed in secret. Rumor has it that the project has three different
configurations, and will be one of the most advanced film festival concepts
in the world. We will reveal more about the Tampa Film Festival Project
Series sometime in 2011. We could see the first film festivals from this
film festival property format sometime in 2013. The official web sites
for these Tampa film festivals and their marketing support would be here
on Tampa Film Festivals.
